This is some of the feedback from GPs in an action learning set that I have facilitated.

 

An action learning set is a group of 6-8 people who meet on a regular basis to support each other in dealing with real life problems. Action learning was originally developed by Reg Revans who wrote “there is no learning without action and no action without learning.

Within an action learning set:


- Participants share their problem or issue.
- Support, challenge and question each other to clarify the problem and to create and explore options for action
- Take action in the light of new insight
- Feedback at subsequent meetings the action taken and the consequences
